injuryIf you run enough, at some point you will deal with injury.  Hopefully you will catch and deal with it early.

Better yet, now you can be informed on how to effectively prevent running injuries before they happen.

This is the stuff I wish somebody had told me before I started training for my first marathon!

In this episode of the podcast Trevor and I also talked about the Jackson Tennessee Half Marathon.

This was a low key event but still alot of fun.

As many of your know I am in my first trimester of pregnancy so I did not intend to push myself very hard.  However, I still managed to set a new PR finishing at 1hr and 54min.

I’m glad our family is growing but I sure will miss marathoning this fall!

Also mentioned in this episode is our Reverse Osmosis Water System.

The system sits nicely under our kitchen sink and we only have to change the filters once a year.

Here is Trevor holding the old and new stage one filter side by side.

Actually, the system has a series of four filters the water passes through.

It comes out tasting smooth and pure . . .

Now I wouldn’t want to live without it.

I don’t know what this crud is but I’m glad we’re not drinking it!

CONGRATULATIONS ANGIE on the Half Marathon! Your running time was great. I am so proud of you. I am proud of you, too, Trevor on running three miles. Keep up the good work–both of you. I really enjoy your podcasts. Great information!

I am glad that I have a water purifier also. Your priorities are in the right place. A picture is worth a thousand words. Those are some amazing pictures you posted.

Angie, I have a question. Do you ever just keep running when you experience a pain in your knee or stomach or do you walk through it? At times I will start out with a mild pain in my knee and I wonder if I should turn back. Once I got a stomach ache, I wanted to walk, but decided to keep on and it eventually subsided.

That is a good question. Most of the time a person can run through general aches and pains. If you find that the pain is very sharp and that it prevents you from maintaining good running form, you should stop and walk it through. If you are experiencing the pain every time you run, it could be a sign of a developing chronic injury.

    Hi Angie, I’m back 🙂
I just wanted to share what I do about sore muscles from running, or other work related injuries. I will rub on Young Living Massage Oils OrthoEase or OrthoSport. Another good solution is Young Living Peppermint, or Wintergreen Essential Oil, or a blend called Deep Relief. Young Living’s amazing essential oils actually deliver oxygen to the cells and promote speedy recovery– something all athletes want. Young Living is a company that I trust to provide only pure, therapeutic grade oils and that is why they work so well. I do not trust other brands.
For information about where to get these wonderful oils people can go to: http://www.oil-testimonials.com/1056830 or http://www.youngliving.com I would be most grateful if you would use my member # 1056830 Thanks.
