Dave Proctor @runproctor, age 41, is an ultra runner from Alberta Canada who recently became the fastest person to run across Canada. He started in Newfoundland and ran to Victoria, British Columbia – a distance of 7,159 km (4,448 miles).
He currently holds Canadian records for the longest distance run in 24, 48, and 72 hours, along with a world record for the longest distance run on a treadmill in 12 hours. He is the father of 3 children and works as a sports massage therapist.

Dave ran with a Coros watch (same brand Angie wears) and the team at Coros shared some interesting data.
- Dave ran between 63-68 miles per day with no rest days
- His average pace was a 10:30 mile
- He allowed himself very little comforts and the support vehicle was only for quick stops every 20 kilometers.
- He averaged 7,000 calories a day. Favorite go-to food was baked goods.
- He slept an average of 7 hours per night
- He acquired a hairline fracture in his foot but kept running.
- His cadence improved toward the end. According to Coros he started at 170-173 and increased to 180-182
- He became a running machine. His base fitness improved to the highest score Coros has ever seen.
