Jenn Giles Joins the Coaching Team at MTA

Coach Jenn is a certified running Coach and triathlon coach, Board Certified Specialist in Sports Dietetics with a Dual Masters Degree in Nutrition and Exercise Physiology from Columbia University in New York City.

She is a ten time marathoner, two time Ironman finisher and three time Team USA Triathlete with over 20 years experience as a coach. She’s also a mother of four active children.

Coach Jenn will be working one-on-one with those who want to put the power of personalized coaching behind their running goals. Find out how personal coaching works and availability

Race Report: The Heart of America Marathon

Greetings MTA community! I have been listening to MTA for the pat two years and Trevor has inspired me to share my race experiences. Therefore: Now is the time for my first ever Not-Quite-So-Famous Race Recap.

On Labor Day this past September I ran the Heart of America Marathon in Columbia, Missouri. This a smaller race with only 142 runners who finished this year.

I just got back from the Tupelo Half Marathon in Tupelo, Mississippi.

I decided to use this race as a supported training run for my build up for the Berlin Marathon later this month.

Even without Berlin I would have found a reason to do this race. The t-shirt and medal are too good to pass up!

The race motto is “Trample the Weak Hurdle the Dead”.

Berlin Marathon Meet Up!

Berlin_Marathon.svgMeet up with Angie and Trevor and other MTA runners at the Starbucks near the Brandenburg Gate on the Saturday before the Berlin Marathon!

  1. Date: September 24th (the day before the marathon)
  2. Location: Starbucks Coffee at Pariser Platz 4A, 10117 Berlin, Germany
  3. Time: 2:00 pm local time

This Starbucks is close to the Brandenburg Gate and the start/finish area of the marathon so we might grab a drink and walk around the plaza as a group. Link to the Facebook Event. Please let us know if you plan to attend.
