About The Runner’s High Challenge

The mountain is a metaphor for rising up, overcoming hard things, and elevating your fitness. A runner’s high is the feeling of euphoria and reduced anxiety that comes from running. We created this challenge to help you run, walk, or hike 100 miles and tap into those happy brain chemicals.

Run, walk, or hike an accumulative 100 miles (161 km) and earn the iconic Matterhorn Medal. Some ways to get 100 miles done:

Log a 100 mile week!
Log a 100 mile month.
Log four 25 mile months.
Run ten miles a week for ten weeks.
Do a run streak of at least 1 mile per day for 100 days.

What matters most is that you challenge yourself and go the distance. Signing up with a running partner makes it even more fun!

Warning! The runner’s high is addictive and you might want to keep going longer. This challenge can change your life!

Hi Angie and Trevor, Last Sunday I finished my first marathon distance! I would never ever had been able to do that if it wasn’t for your 100 mile challenge! In October of 2020 I started that challenge after I’d just been run/walking for a month. That challenge and the FB community changed my life. For the race I used your trail marathon training plan and  I loved it!  Thank you guys for changing my life and making me a marathoner! -Rochelle
