Where Runners Are From
We have runners signed up from every state in the US except 3 at this point ๐บ๐ธ. The highest number comes from California with 26 runners. Second place is Pennsylvania with 18 runners, plus Angie and I bring the total to 20. If you are in central PA and want to join us on our run send us an email.
Believe it or not we have 6 runners signed up from Alaska this year (not the warmest place in November) from Fairbanks to Ketchikan.
Also, special shout out to John Danby our sole participant from Wyoming. This is his third year in a row!
We always have a lot of Canadian runners who participate every year . . . including one runner, Ice Beard Ed McLean, from the Yukon. The highest number of runners come from Ontario. ๐จ๐ฆ Huge shoutout to our neighbors to the north!
The largest European country represented this year is the UK ๐ฌ๐ง with runners from Shetland, West Midlands, Perthshire, Middlesex, Fife, and Avon and NE Somerset.
For the first time in three years we have runners from the Ukraine ๐บ๐ฆ, Finland ๐ซ๐ฎ, Switzerland ๐จ๐ญ, and the Netherlands ๐ณ๐ฑ participating.
There is always a big turn out from Australia ๐ฆ๐บ! These runners are just entering into their warm season (I’m so envious). So far we have runners from Victoria, South Australia, Queensland, and New South Wales signed up. New South Wales has the largest representation which makes sense since it’s the largest state by population.
Still Time to Register for this Event!
Registration is open until the end of October. Visit the Virtual Half page to see this year’s one-of-a-kind medal.
